BETRAYED BY HER EYES

The intensity of her eyes

brings to bear a revelation of

truth and sanity.

When I thought I had within my

grasp the true self, I discovered

the reflection in the mirror.

In the mirror I can see only

her eyes, the entirety of

her being escapes me.

Her eyes once again

have betrayed me.

What has one gain from the

admiration of an image that

portrayed no soul on the

other side of the mirror.
